Our cleaning process
After a rug has been fully inspected, we’ll remove the dry soil and dust from inside rug fabrics. We use a powerful HEPA vacuum cleaner when cleaning rugs on-site, while natural and hand-woven rugs are gently beaten with a rug duster to evict all of the dry soil particles.
Our on-site rug cleaning process involves using an industrial strength steam cleaning machine, which completes high-pressure cleaning, sanitising and deodorising processes to an exceptionally high standard. With most of the water removed during the cleaning process, rugs can dry really fast.
Rugs cleaned off-site are placed in a special cleaning pit, where we clean them by hand. Once this process is complete, rugs are then rinsed in a high-spinning centrifuge which safely extracts around 90% of the moisture from the rug. To complete the drying process, rugs are hung in a room that’s humidity- and temperature-controlled.
